Description of this album:

1967/8 UK PARLOPHONE STEREO LP

**ULTRA-RARE SILVER STEREO COVER LOGO**

Contrary to normal practise at the time, EMI omitted the usual mono and stereo cover logos from this release.
However, an extremely limited number were produced with front black and silver stereo logos which were similar in size & type used on 'Revolver'.

Most likely produced in 1967/8, these covers housed not first pressings, but second press (-3/-3) matrix discs. No mono covers were produced with logos.

This rare variant '2nd' stereo pressing is on the UK black & yellow Parlophone label: PCS 3075
The labels carry the 'Sold in UK..'text and 'Gramophone Co..' rims.
The 'KT' tax/price code is visible on the side 1 label.

Housed in a front laminated, tri-flipback Garrod & Lofthouse stereo cover with the front SILVER stereo logo.
Matrix numbers: YEX 178-3 & YEX 179-3
Stamper numbers: 2GM / 2GH

Description of the condition/grading

The cover is in VG+ condition. See the pictures: there is some laminate creasing. The back is still pretty white.  The vinyl is also, visual, in VG+ condition. It sounds better han that. There are quite a few hairlines visible. I haven't cleaned it, as everyone has his own methods, but it will probably look a lot better after a good clean.
