Original 1st US pressing Version 2 Mono LP 1062 copy of The Beatles’ 1st US studio album “Introducing… The Beatles” released by Vee-Jay Records on January 10, 1964. The currently listed copy remains factory sealed. The front cover contains the original “Featuring TWIST AND SHOUT PLEASE, PLEASE ME” promotional 4” x 2¼” hype sticker underneath the shrink wrap in the upper left-hand corner below the Vee-Jay Records logo. The majority of covers where this rare hype sticker can be found on, just like this copy, were printed by Imperial Paper Box Corp. and contain the company’s “2” identifier at the bottom right corner on the back. Original Mono cover with the “LP 1062” catalog number in the lower right-hand corner on the front and “VJLP 1062” in the upper right-hand corner of the paste over slick on the back which lists the song titles in thick black print in two columns indicating “Please, Please Me” with a comma. This copy represents Version 2 of this album. On January 16, 1964, less than a week after the 1st Version of “Introducing…The Beatles” was released, Vee-Jay Records was served with a restraining order stopping further distribution the “Love Me Do” and “P.S. I Love You” tracks whose publishing rights belonged to Capitol Records’ subsidiary, Beechwood Music, Inc which led to Vee-Jay replacing these two tracks with the previously omitted “Ask Me Why” and “Please, Please Me”. (Please pay attention that among our currently listed items you’ll find a unique court document whose place should be in The Beatles museum and which was a part of the “Capitol Records, Inc. vs Vee-Jay Records, Inc.” trial related to the distribution rights of The Beatles songs) It’s impossible to find nowadays a copy of this album in a factory sealed condition as it’s usually located in private collections and the collectors are quite reluctant to part ways with it, unless there’s a special reason. If looking carefully, you could see the edge of a white inner sleeve through the fully intact factory shrink wrap at the cover’s mouth, which is most likely the Vee-Jay Records’ “Other Fine Albums of Significant Interest” white background inner sleeve containing 25 adverts for the other Vee-Jay releases on each side.

Beautiful example in Mint Minus condition. There're some very light push-ins on the top and bottom right corners as well as a light ding on the bottom left corner, which are probably aren't even worth mentioning considering the copy's age. The shrink wrap remains fully intact and contains the original breathe holes, two on each side of the album.
