The Beatles - Help! Mono One EMI box PMC 1255 - Ultra rare

This is supposedly the Beatles' second rarest ever Lp after the first being the Stereo Gold Please Please Me, this is at the opposite end of the spectrum and was the last ever Mono pressing of Help on the One EMI box labels in 1969. To be honest this is actually the rarest Lp to get as I see Gold Stereo's all the time on eBay, not so with this Pressing.

Only a handful were released and probably by mail order only as EMI had all but abandoned Mono by this point.

Only Help, Please please me and Sgt Pepper were released on this special label and Help is by far the hardest to get.

Condition of the vinyl visually is Ex on side 1 with a couple of wispy marks otherwise mint, and Ex- on side 2 as there are some light surface marks that don't affect the sound at all. This hasn't been played much more than a few times as evident by the 2 or 3 spindle marks on each side. 1st pressing matrix numbers: XEX 549-2 & XEX 550-2 and was cut still using a mid 60's mono cutting head.
I have made a recording of the record using a dedicated AT-33mono cartridge and it is near perfect and silent between tracks, please listen below.
Generally pushing 2k+ for a NM one (If they ever come up), this may be a chance to own one for a while without breaking the bank.
This is the only the second one I've ever had the pleasure of owning and both had the same matrix mother stamper codes: 3MDT/ 1ATM

Comes complete with a nice cover and correct inner in Ex.
