The Beatles ?– Help - German Odeon Label 1966

Selling-up my extensive record collection. Lots of interesting records in the collection - do have a look at my other items, and there are new listings every week. I may have obscure things that you didn't even know you wanted!

This is a rare German Odeon copy from 1966.

Cover - is front-laminated. Generally nice, but a small split in the spine, and the opening has been pushed forward (by a clumsy previous owner!) which has caused a very short tear in from the opening and a couple of big creases in the lamination. Front is a bit formed to the shape of the record, and there is light ring-wear (just taking the shine off the lamination, in a circle). Some stains on the front, and back is stained, looks like from handling.

Record - skips about five times on first track, more about play-test later. Visual inspection shows quite a lot of long scratches and fingernail marks. Vinyl surface is a bit uneven (not warped, little shallow bumps). Sixties LPs often play through damage regardlessly, so I did a play-test. It generally plays just fine BUT side one track one has loud clicks and skips as mentioned. Rest of the side plays well, with a two short episodes of crackling. Side two all plays well, I only heard one or two crackles on the whole side. No other skips or catches. General audio is very nice, sounds just as it should, not worn-out.

My price makes generous allowance for the faults described above.

When I'm checking for damage on records, I look at them carefully with my reading glasses on, in good daylight. This method detects any bits of damage that will affect what you hear when listening to it - and lots that are not audible. Using a spotlight or direct sunlight shows more surfacey marks sometimes, but I don't do that - records are for listening to, not trying to see your face in.

Postage at cost within UK - £3.00 plus 50p for a proper record mailer Happy to do combined postage wherever practical. I'll charge you what it costs me - so anything up to six (or so) LPs still the same £3.50.

I'm happy to send this overseas. See below for details, if bidding from outside UK - you need to know this stuff. Overseas customers - DON'T request an invoice, it screws-up the e-bay system.

Dispatch will usually be "next day".

Collection in person is welcome.

I don't mail things personally, to countries outside the UK - ( I mean it, don't ask) - but I am happy to use E-Bay UK's Global Shipping Program, for sending things abroad. Under this scheme, I send the parcel to an e-bay depot in UK, and they forward it to the overseas buyer.

They have a tracked courier service, for the journey from their UK depot, to the buyer.

This means that I can ONLY accept payments through e-bay (Pay Now button), and I can't send invoices.

E-Bay UK tells me, they do NOT do combined postage in the Global Shipping Programme. Charges to the customer for delivery are whatever you're told they are - if you don't want to pay the postal / courier charges, then do not bid.

International buyers should be able to see a postage cost to their country, you may have to input your location, if your country is included in the scheme.

If your country is not mentioned, please do not bid.
