Rarity: Very Rare especially so being a UK 1st Pressing Parlophone Label "Sample Record Not For Sale" (Demo) in this Very nice condition. It Also has it's Original and Correct Sleeve. This is a CURIOUS one as normally you can find  Records with a Factory Sample Not For Sale sticker attached to the Labels BUT this is obviously NOT one of those.This is a Square Sticker with SAMPLE RECORD (Not For Sale) printed in Red ink and underneath in Black ink it states WARNING-Under the copyright Act. 1956.any person offering this record for sale renders himself to prosecution. Rec/281. 

I must Admit i have NEVER come across one of these before so here's a little more Added information. I bought this record (and Many others over the years) from Reckless Records when they were based in Liverpool St London N1 back in the early 80's (they are now based in Berwick Street. Soho London) and are a very Reputable company. They told me at the time that they had Purchased this and Other items from an ex EMI employee and I have No reason to Doubt them.

If this is GENUINE then it's Going to be Very, Very Rare and Collectable!!!!

However I do NOT expect Anyone to Simply take my Word for it so this is what I am Prepared to offer. I would be More than happy to arrange with the Winning Bidder to hold on to the Record for 3 Months to do any further research into it required. Brief Artist & Album/Single Info: "Help" is a song by the Beatles that served as the title song for both the 1965 film and its soundtrack album. It was released as a single in July 1965, and was number one for three weeks in both the United States and the United Kingdom.

Credited to Lennon–McCartney, "Help!" was written by John Lennon with some assistance from Paul McCartney. During an interview with Playboy in 1980, Lennon recounted: "The whole Beatles thing was just beyond comprehension. I was subconsciously crying out for help".

It was ranked at number 29 on Rolling Stone's 500 Greatest Songs of All Time.

The Beatles recorded "Help!" in 12 takes on 13 April 1965 using four-track equipment. The first nine takes concentrated on the instrumental backing. The descending lead guitar riff that precedes each verse proved to be difficult, so by take 4 it was decided to postpone it for an overdub. To guide the later overdub by George Harrison, Lennon thumped the beat on his acoustic guitar body, which can be heard in the final stereo mix. Lead and backing vocals were recorded twice onto take 9, along with a tambourine. A reduction mix was applied to the two vocal tracks, taking three attempts (takes 10 to 12), freeing up a track for the lead guitar overdub. This was the group's first use of two 4-track machines for "bouncing".

CONDITION 

Labels: The Black & Yellow Silver Parlophone Labels have at the begining of the perimeter text "THE PARLOPHONE CO. LTD" and The "SOLD IN THE U.K. SUBJECT TO RESALE CONDITIONS, SEE PRICE LIST" to the centers. It also has the KT tax code Embossed to Side 1: They are Both in Very Nice condition with No signs of Spindle Wear or Spider Marks. There is no Writing, Label Lifts or Tears anywhere. I'm assuming that this has Never been played Once the Sticker was Attached to Side 1: as it Part covers the Center hole. (although it has become Slightly unstuck). However there Are some Wispy Marks showing when held to Light, though I do Not believe they are Spider Marks because they show on sections you would Not expect to see them.  I would grade these as Very Good ++!!!!

Vinyl: I can ONLY grade this as Visual because I do Not want to loosen the Sticker anymore than it Already is. The Record still Retains that glossy look but there Are several Marks and Thumbnails to both sides. Most of them look like deep set Finger Marks that have Ingrained themselves on to the Vinyl. I would still Bet it has Not had many (if Any) plays simply because of how the Labels and Vinyl look. I would grade both sides as Very Good ++!!!! 

Cover/Sleeve: The cover is the ORIGINAL sleeve that accompanied this single. It truly is in Remarkable condition considering that it's Now over 50 Years of age. There are no Tears, Splits, Marks or Writing anywhere to be seen. The Corners, Edges and Rims are in Perfect order and it looks as New as the day it was First printed. Apart from the Indentation from where the record has sat in the Sleeve it's absolutely Stunning. Bearing in Mind it's Age and Flimsy nature it Really is incredible that this is Still around today in this Wonderful condition. I would be happy enough to grade it as Very Good ++/Excellent!!!!

Cover/Sleeve Summary: Not seen often, this one is in Fine condition with only Reasonable clues of age, any blemishes mostly light. This classic cover should as (as described) please many collectors.

Single Played For Grading: I Usually play/grade ALL records I offer before submitting, I also play them in their entirety unless clearly stated otherwise. I do NOT play snippets or joining grooves to check for sound quality and quietness – I play from the beginning to end. I use a Linn LP12 Sondek turntable with Ittok Mk II arm and Ortofon Quintet Black moving coil cartridge and Linn Lingo, with my Linn system and Forest Totem Speakers. This system is guaranteed  to pick up any distortion or interference within the sound.

Grading: In my opinion I REFUSE to believe that there is ANY record that can be truly graded as Mint; the BEST that could be offered is Mint- (minus)!!!! Especially so from the 50's, 60's, 70's or even up to the present date!!!! Even copies bought new today would have some form of imperfection on the Record or Cover!!!! Under that assumption I will NEVER use the word Mint in any of my descriptions and Mint- is the HIGHEST grade I would ever offer. So I will only from Excellent, Good or Poor with a -(minus), +(plus) or ++(plus, plus)!!!!
