Description
From Then To You is a compilation album released in 1970 on Apple Records.
The album collects together The Beatles Christmas Records sent out free of charge only to Fan Club Members from 1964 to 1969. The original flexi discs now sell for £70-£150 each. On the records The Beatles would chat, joke around, thank their fans, sing a bit. By the time 1969 came around the boys were off doing their own thing around the world so they were recorded separately. Yoko interviews John on this one.
The singles were originally under the auspices of Parlophone Records and Lyn Recording.
Apple Records did not reissue this 1970 album, although there was a box set of the singles released a few years ago. This original album is now a collectors item. It is rare and as time goes on will be more sought after and hard to find.
The copy for sale here is in very good condition for a record over half a century old. The cover has the slightest of creasing which can be seen in the pictures. There is also a very small scrubbed out name on the back cover upper left (see pic), on the plain white inner someone has written the title and the year they bought it (you can easily replace this if it bothers you), there are three small initials written the label (again see pic) which is hardly noticeable.
The record plays well; a bit of background sound on some tracks but nothing major and shouldn’t intrude on your listening pleasure. I have listed the faults in order to be up front about them, but seriously they are very minor.
If you are a Beatles fan you will love this rare item. It’s a joy to listen to these recordings, from wide eyed early days to a triumphant end. I loved this record am only selling in order to downsize my record collection.
