The Beatles - For Sale - Mega Rare 2nd Pressing UK Stereo LP!
This is a very collectable item due to the second track on Side 1 spelt 'I'M A LOSSER' instead of 'I'M A LOSER'.
Yellow and black original Parlophone label. Catalogue number: PCS 3062. The Matrix Numbers are: YEX 142-1 and YEX 143-1.
Second pressings are distinguished as follows
- Sold in the UK statement over the spindle hole
- The Gramophone Co Rim Wording
- P 1964 instead of recording first published
A must have collectors item for any Beatles fan!
I am grading the condition of this item as per the Record Collector/Ebay Record Grading System. The definition of excellent is below:
EXCELLENT: The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in sound quality. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and / or creasing.
I am grading both the sleeve and vinyl as excellent condition, although I do think I'm doing the item a slight injustice, as they are both in superb condition and you will struggle to find better examples of this item.
The vinyl shines like new, and is perfectly clean. under strong illumination some light hairlines can be seen on either side , but again under normal daylight there are none visible,
There is no spindle hole wear whatsoever. Side 1 label I would go as far as to say is PERFECT. Side 2 label is also near perfect barring a very very faint small finger mark.
The sleeve is superb, I'd actually be tempted to list this as 'Near Mint'. No blemishes to the front cover.
Opening up the gatefold reveals an exceptional inner spine, with just a tiny tiny tear at the bottom. A matter of millimetres and virtually un-noticeable. The flipback on the right side are perfectly stuck down.
The back again is in top condition. Not a crease or blemish to be seen.
The only other detail that, as a buyer, you might like to know is that the inner paper sleeve that holds the record inside the sleeve has a small blue 4 written in pen in the top corner. This is not on the main sleeve itself.
