Whether you are looking for a copy in outstanding condition, or wanting to add this example to your collection, this is one of the scarcest issues of this wonderful album
In 1969 EMI released all previous Beatles' albums on a final yellow parlophone label, shortly before the introduction of the insipid, new EMI boxed variety which still survives to this day
Only available for a few months, this is the rarest variant of 'Beatles For Sale'

Audio from this disc is perfect, sounding as it did 43 years ago, with loads of echo from the stereo mix
The run ins are near silent with minimal surface static
Needless to say, the whole album plays through with no defects at all, a fabulous copy
The vinyl surfaces gleam and show no marks or scuffs, just wispy handling lines under a halogen lamp
It would be very difficult to improve upon the remarkable quality of this disc

The labels are near pristine, with vibrant yellow 'parlophones' and all text perfectly legible
They display 'Gramophone' rim texts and no 'Sold in the UK', only found on a 1969 copy
Just a few spindle trails each side, suggesting minimal play of this disc

The G & L cover is in wonderful condition, with a very smooth front panel ( quite unusual, as this is just a single flimsy piece of card ). The spine is near perfect and uncrushed ( again, very unusual )
The unlaminated inside panels are outstandingly clean, with just a tiny split to the top 'hinge', but no disc impression
The back panel does show a disc impression, a crease and a tiny area of laminate lift but no split

The correct, 'patents applied for', sepia LP advertising sleeve is also in outstanding condition, showing no age toning and feeling very crisp, a great example

All in all, an fantastic example of this great album, in super stereo format
