Audio: MINT-
One of the finest sounding ‘Beatles for Sale’ copies I have heard. The sound quality is factory fresh and there is no surface noise audible to any of the music. There are no pops or ticks and all gaps are silent save for the natural sound of vinyl . An absolute stunning listening experience and testimony to the quality of these early UK first pressings. Needless to say the record does not jump or stick.
Labels: EXCLLENT+
A superb set of fresh looking labels with only the faintest of light spindle trails evident to each label.
Visual: EXCELLENT+
A well looked after disc which has received only a very limited number of plays in its 48 year history. The vinyl appears virtually MINT in strong daylight. On closer inspection under a strong halogen desklight there are is some whispy sleeve removal marks and signs of very light handling but nothing that effects the audio quality. The heavy duty vinyl lies 100% flat on the turntable.
Cover
EXCELLENT-
A tough cover to find in anything above VG. The front panel still retains its high gloss laminate and is in great condition. There is some bruising to the bottom right hand corner which prevents an Excellent/Exc+ grade. The spine is uncrushed and there is no writing to any of the sleeve. A nice example of this genuine 1964 1st issue UK sleeve with the heavier and darker image; (later sleeves were paler and are unfortunately being used by sellers to replace worn and damaged 1st issue covers). This however is positively a 1st issue UK cover from the initial release date of 4th December 1964.
