The Beatles - First! Recorded In Hamburg 1961 featuring Tony Sheridan & Guests.
A superb copy of this rare first pressing of The Beatles live & on tour in Germany in 1961. Reissued many time since - this is the original on the red Polydor label, catalogue no. 46 432. See photos for matrix numbers. In fabulous condition for the age.
The vinyl has been cleaned in our amazing Degritter and has come up spotlessly clean with excellent glossy lustre and only a couple of trace lines, barely visible, and one or two faint smudgy"patches" - nothing remotely feelable. Immaculate labels and spindle holes - this has had very little play. Graded EX.
Playback reveals a clean & clear vibrant mono sound with real immediacy which conveys the live atmosphere beautifully. Evocative & nostalgic yet very much a live perfomance. The low noise floor is incredible & better than many modern pressings! It plays through beautifully with no issues whatsoever.
The outer sleeve is a strong VG+, smooth & shiny with vibrant print colour retained to the front. Light wear to seams & spine which is still readable, corner rubbing plus some age discolouration. Overall really solid with no splits, tears, writing, stains or tape.
The original German heavyweight lined inner sleeve is present & still doing a great job of protecting the record after all these years.
A rare opportunity for a collector or Beatles fan to find an original copy in such super condition.
