Description
Hello,
Thank you for checking out my listing for this incredible , 6 record set, of Beatles Capitol "The Star Line" Series 45 singles. These belonged to a dear friends husband who was an avid record collector. This complete series has sold elsewhere for $3000. I had the buyer at the famous Jerry's Records in Pittsburgh PA appraise these and he said they appear to have never been played and assessed them to be in M condition with the exception of the 6th one which he said was in NM or VG+++ for reason that the label didnt look quite as fresh as the other 5- but still there are no marks and it appears to have been unplayed. They come with Original Star Line Series Sleeves which are in good to fair condition but nowhere close to the condition of the records. The records themselves are in plastic sleeves as to avoid being scratched. I am listing the records in NM condition ONLY for the simple reason that the eBay rating system suggests that if the item has been opened from its original packaging that its best to list as NM.
I apologize for the poor image quality, anyone with an iphone understands my dilemma. The records are nicer than the images capture. They were photographed while in plastic sleeves and there are some reflections but i assure the records are clean.
Thanks Again for checking out my listing. Please feel free to contact me with any questions you may have.
Good Luck bidding on these wonderful pieces of history.....Take care

About:
Capitol launched its Star Line singles series in January 1962 as a vehicle to reissue old hit singles.
There were six Beatles Star Line discs produced and all six were released on October 11, 1965.
The first four (Capitol 6061 through 6064) were the same as the four Beatles 45s issued by Vee-Jay during the
first four months of 1964. This marked the second time in a little over a year that these singles were released as oldies.
Vee-Jay had also reissued the records on its "Oldies" subsidiary label in August 1964.
The remaining two Capitol Star Line Beatles singles (Capitol 6065 & 6066) were Capitol'S OWN UNIQUE creations.
They are as follows:
6061 Twist And Shout / There's A Place - NM
6062 Love Me Do / P.S. I Love You - NM
6063 Please Please Me / From Me To You - NM
6064 Do You Want To Know A Secret / Thank You Girl - NM
6065 Roll Over Beethoven / Misery - NM
6066 Boys / Kansas City - VG++
--------------------------------------
M = Mint:
I would only list as mint if the record is new in sealed package
NM = Near Mint:
The record shows no scratches or scuffs and the label is very readable (like new)
VG+ = Very Good +:
Will show some signs that it was played but well cared for
Record surfaces may show some slight signs of wear and may have slight scuffs or very light scratches that don't affect its playing
The label may have some ring wear or discoloration, but it should be barely noticeable
