In January 1973, two pirated Beatles box sets appeared in the United States, Alpha Omega Volumes I & II: The Story Of The Beatles (Audio Tape Inc. ATRBH 3583). These four-LP collections were advertised on TV and radio stations in the Midwest and were sold by mail order. Instead of taking legal action, Capitol Records countered by putting out two official Beatles anthologies, The Beatles 1962-1966 (US: Apple SKBO 3403) and The Beatles 1967-1970 (US: Apple SKBO 3404). However, in March, a $15 million lawsuit was filed by manager Allen Klein on behalf of George Harrison, along with Capitol and Apple Records, against the manufacturers and distributors of the bootleg package, and against American Broadcasting Companies, Inc., who had been advertising it.

Records are VG+ or better...sound great in Stereo...beautiful full shine!

You will hear a few crackles and pops, but not bad at all...no skips or stops.

Remember, these LPs are 40 nearly years old!

Labels are nr mint...clean, no writings or tears.

Box worn, but intact...I repaired the box the best I could with reinforced inside corners. Unfortunately, I cannot guarantee the corners will stay intact.

Includes 4 brand new poly lined record sleeves, and of course, the originals too.

This 4 LP Set is the rarist of the 2 box sets, in Black and White...

These records have been professionally cleaned, polished and played prior to listing!

My cleaning Process...

I use both... VPI 16.5 and Nitty Gritty 2.5FI-XP professional cleaning machines with vacuum systems, using only high tech professional cleaning fluids and ultra pure water rinse…

First Step: I use a DAK's Anti Static Carbon Fiber Brush to remove surface dust deep in the grooves.

Second Step: using the VPI 16.5 and apply MOFI Pure Enzyme Cleaner along with a MOFI fluid applicator and then I brush with a KAB disc sweep, then vacuum that old crud off…

Note: For an absolutely fealthy record, I may use MOFI Super Deep Cleaner...then MOFI Pure Enzyme Cleaner...then Disc Doctor (as a neautralizer)...then proceed to steps 3, 4 and 5.

Third Step: using the Nitty Gritty 2.5FI-XP and Nitty Gritty Pure 2 Record Rinse to remove all traces of the previous cleaner, and also it continues to clean the record and remove any remaining crud, then vacuum.

Fourth Step: using the Nitty Gritty 2.5FI-XP, using only MOFI Pure Record Rinse (ultra pure water), I rinse and vacuum one more time!

5th Step: I coat the record with Gruv Glide...

The treated record and cartridge stylus will last longer due to the increased tracking ability and reduced friction. One application lasts for an indefinite period of time."

GRUV GLIDE: lightly spray onto the very soft pad (included in kit), then buff the record until the record is totally dry!

Now the record is clean, ultra clean! So, now it will get a brand new poly sleeve, why? Never put a cleaned record back into it’s dirty old sleeve. Note: you will get the originals too, placed away from the records.

Note: you should not have to clean these records for a long time, possibly never, as long as you use a dry brush between plays!

I highly recommend DAK's Anti Static Carbon Fiber Brush!
