Incredibly rare and highly collectible Capitol record club issue of The Beatles “A Hard Day's Night” available through the late 1966 - early 1967. Unique 1st print record club issue only cover with a white border still remains in the original factory shrink wrap and looks stunning. The back cover contains the number “4” at the bottom right corner identifying this copy as the Capitol Records, Jacksonville, IL plant pressing. Original United Artists black matte labels with the colored circles at the top, United Artists large 'boxed' logo, unique font style variation, completely different from the conventional issues, and the “ST-90828” Record Club's catalog cumber printed on the labels as well as on the cover. The Side 1 label misprints ''I'll Cry Instead'' as ''I Cry Instead”. Original very early Capitol record club pressing vinyl with the machine stamped first matrix numbers in the trail-off vinyl: Side 1 - ST1-90828-W1 0 / Side 2 - ST2-90828-W1 0. Original East Coast release Capitol Records, Jacksonville, IL, plant pressing as identified by the runout marking '0' symbol machine stamped in the trail-off of the vinyl. This rare copy comes with the original United Artists Records plain white paper inner sleeve.

The cover of this record club pressing copy is in Near Mint Minus condition and represents one of the best examples of this issue we've come across with in a long time. It've very clean and remains in the original factory shrink wrap. I grade the vinyl as Very Good Plus. It retains its beautiful glossy lacquer only having some light non-feelable surface marks and hairlines as well as some light scuffs from the original inner sleeve which is in Near Mint Minus condition and doesn't have any splits or tears. The labels are in stunning condition without having any scuffs, wear or spindle marks and are graded as Near Mint. The vinyl sounds great only having some very light occasional static that's heard only at a loud volume during the quiet passages and which most likely would go away if the record was professionally cleaned using a VPI cleaning machine.
