~ Before placing a bid, please make sure to attentively read our updated international shipping policy ~
Original authentic 1st West Coast Mono pressing of the 3rd Beatles album released by Capitol Records on July 20th, 1964. The album features 8 songs from the original UK release of “A Hard Day’s Night” along with “Slow Down” and “Matchbox” from the "Long Tall Sally" EP, in addition to “Komm, Gib Mir Deine Hand”, the version of “I Want to Hold Your Hand” sung in German. This monophonic factory sealed copy pressed at the Capitol Records pressing plant in Los Angeles, just like all of the Mono copies of this album, contains:
"I'll Cry Instead" (with the "missing" third verse)
"Any Time At All" (a different mix during the instrumental bridge)
"When I Get Home" (the line "Till I walk out that door again" during the song's bridge has a different vocal passage from the UK mono mix)
"And I Love Her" (McCartney's non-double-tracked vocal)
"If I Fell" (Lennon's non-double-tracked introductory vocal)
Original cardboard single-type cover remains factory sealed in the fully intact shrink wrap with the original breathe holes, two on each side. The front cover has a record store sticker affixed to the shrink wrap in the upper left-hand corner. The back cover contains the factory designator number RIAA 6 identifying the pressing by Capitol Records Pressing Plant in Los Angeles. Please pay attention that the cover has a unique feature. Due to the improperly aligned slick the “6” number ended up at the bottom of the spine, below the catalog number, rather than at the bottom right corner of the back cover where it usually is. Incredibly rare 1st pressing Mono copy of this album in a factory sealed Mint condition. Final upgrade. The album comes with a very rare original 1964 US “The Beatles Official Coloring Book” 127-Page book published by Peerless Manufacturing Company exclusively for Seltaeb, Inc and distributed by the Saalfield Publishing Company. This is one of the best authorized “The Beatles” coloring books which was “Commended by Parents Magazine as Advertised Inside” and the magazine’s seal is located in the lower right-hand corner of the front cover. Besides the publisher, Page 1 of the book contains the “© 1964 Nems Enterprises, Ltd.” credit and “Made in U.S.A.” text. Page 19 of the book includes the “The Beatles With Their Capitol Album” text advertising the new album “Something New”. Along with numerous drawings, the book includes black and white photos from The Beatles’ first film “A Hard Day’s Night” and images from “The Beatles Photo Album”. The back cover includes the same photo of The Beatles as the front with the addition of the signatures of the band members at the top.
