Description

Auction is for the rare and out of print record, The Bats – And Here is ‘Music For The Fireside’ 12” 45 EP.

This is the original 1985 release on the legendary New Zealand label Flying Nun Records, known for exposing the “Dunedin sound”.

The record is in pretty good condition. The record sleeve is somewhat worn with a spine split and ringwear. There is also some writing (blue ballpoint pen) on the sleeve, an “S” on the front and “thanks” on the back. The record itself plays very well, both sides play clearly with the very occasional quiet crackle, although side B tends to crackle a wee bit more towards the middle. The vinyl physically looks very good, with only some finger prints/smudging which should improve the sound if cleaned well.
