THE BEATLES PLEASE PLEASE ME
1963 1st PRESS BLACK AND GOLD STEREO!
This one is the most collectable of all BEATLE'S records ever and is UNBELIEVABLY RARE,infact only 900 of the black an gold stereo format were ever pressed so by now there are probably only a few hundred still in exsistance throught the WORLD!
This one is an original 1963 STEREO 1st issue with the Dick James credits on the label. It has the original very 1st issue E J DAY sleeve with the large STEREO logo on the front and the PHOTO by ANGUS McBEAN at the very bottom of the sleeve and not 1/2 an inch up from the bottom which second issue sleeves have. The matrix numbers in the run off grooves are YEX 94-1 on side one and YEX 95-1 on side two.
- TITLE... PLEASE PLEASE ME.
- LABEL... Original PARLOPHONE label LP (PCS 3042) issued in the UK in 1963.
- MOTHER STAMPS... 1 G AND 1 R
- CONDITION (Vinyl)... The vinyl has been well played but it has by no means been played to death and it is among one of the better ones of this rare press that I have seen SIDE1 has three short heavier scratches you cannot feel them but they are very visable if not for them I would rate it as VERY GOOD,SIDE2 is great and has to rated as a strong GOOD++ at the very least as it has no offensive scratches of any kind,threre are faint marks but mainly just sleeve rubbing.This is a good quality thick vinyl that still has a nice shine and absolutley NO warping at all
- CONDITION (Labels)... GOOD,as expected there is a lot of spindle wear on both sides but all the gold writing is perfectly readable and clean,there is NO writing or stains of anykind,also just visable is the ZMT stamp.
- CONDITION (Sleeve)...FAIR/GOOD The sleeve is ORIGINAL with the angus mcbean name in the far bottom corner on the front which is really nice and shiny, the SPINE is superb and fully intact and readable, the back has worn slightly and the bottom flipback has a split of about 2inches on the bottom left corner.
