RUBBER SOUL
1965 - Mono - 1st pressing PMC 1267 XEX 579-5 / 579-5 1-R / 1-R
Fantastic looking disc, both sides - nothing more than a few harmless, light lines - deep black surfaces with no groove wear
Labels do have a few stains/blemishes - numerous spindle trails
Audio is near perfect, both sides - stone cold silent run ins - the easily damaged 'Michelle' plays perfectly with no distortion on Paul's higher notes - although frequently enjoyed, this disc has been played on decent equipment, as the sound quality is fabulous
The G & L first issue, patents pending cover, is in reasonably good condition - the spine is perfect - generally aged all over but no tears - flips are solid and complete - a little laminate flaking along the opening edge
The correct, tracing paper lined inner is fine - no splits, just age toning throughout
Notes: Although the first issue 'Loud Cut' variant with its 1/1 matrices, has taken on a legendary status among collectors, this 5/5 final correction is without doubt, the best listening experience of this album in 'Mono' - Instruments and vocals are noticeably better balanced
