*RUBBER SOUL* 'Mono' - 1965
The 'Loud-Cut' original pressings of this great album have taken on a legendary status among collectors, but why? Hundreds of thousands were distributed as first day copies and they are everywhere. From the very first 1/1 mix further 1/4 and 4/4 mixes were introduced, until the correct balance was finally achieved on this 5/5 copy. It's probably fair to say that out of all the variants this is likely to be the rarest and certainly delivers the best sounding 'mono' mix of this great album.
At first glance, this stunning copy looks like a new disc. The VINYL is in outstanding condition and the labels look factory fresh. The only evidence of play are the small collection of spindle trails, each side. The COVER and INNER are in fabulous condition too.

Fantastic sounding copy with a bit of crackle between a few of the track run-ins.There are a couple of random mild 'pops' on the gentle 'Michelle'. The audio quality on this copy is undiminished and delivers crystal clear sound throughout.
Visually:

It would be hard to find a better looking disc. Appearing unmarked in normal daylight, the surfaces have retained all there original gloss lustre with just a few small, faint handling lines. Obviously, there are more wispy handling lines under a searchlight beam.

Vibrant and looking as good as a new copy. There are spindle trails but they are not excessive.

Superb example, with lovely sharp corners and just a single thumb bend near the opening. The unprotected back panel looks new! I have never seen an original this white (you can see from the photos how vibrant it is, against the flips which have age toned under the laminate). There is a tiny shelf rub on the otherwise perfect pinched ends spine. To find a better example, it would need to be in mint condition.
Inner sleeve:

Correct, rice paper lined original 'Made In England'. No splits or tears and apart from age related toning and creases, it is in perfect condition.
