THE BEATLES RARE AMERICAN ALBUM (LP) COLLECTION from BEATLEBAY – Titles from MEET THE BEATLES thru ROCK 'N ROLL MUSIC - Most every title and all Original Pressings on Capitol and Apple Records!!! This collection took nearly 10 years to complete! There are many rarities! Enjoy!
OFFERED IS: THE BEATLES - I’LL GET YOU - a very rare 1-SIDED PROMOTIONAL BEATLES 45 was issued in the USA in March 1964 on Swan Records. Swan Records was one of the first record companies in the USA to issue a Beatles 45 as She Loves You was issued in September 1963 on Swan Records # 4152. After Beatlemania broke loose in January 1964 in America, Swan issued 4 different 1 sided promotional singles for I'll Get You and sent them to disc jockeys all across the USA. The ID Number in our description is the number that Beatles expert author Bruce Spizer assigned to this record: # 4152.DJ2C(i). The number is also used in Perry Cox's Beatles Price Guide to American Records.
This is one of the rarer DJ records... here is what the latest Beatles price guide states: "record features a glossy white label with thin black print. Label has no promotional markings. No quotation marks around title. Has George Martin production credit. The back label is all black; that side has a widely spaced silent play groove. Pressed by RCA in March 1964."
The 45 is in Good+ to Very Good- condition. The label has 2 handwritten stars done long ago by a disc jockey no doubt. If you look carefully under the George Martin credit, there is the remains of a name written in inkpen that is barely visable now. It was either erased or it faded away. On the black label on the backside, someone wrote a name in inkpen but it's hard to read. The record plays without skipping or sticking and it has noticeable background noise as expected with any record in this grade. Still a wonderful example for any serious Beatles record collection! Please note: in the deadwax is "S-4152-I 1B B2 VIRTUE STUDIO". Guaranteed Original! It also includes the original tan paper sleeve in good condition.
