Romel Louis - A Love Affair / It Could be Love - Zodiac PLP1005. Sleeve: VG++ / 12": VG++ (tiniest smudge). Impossibly rare private press Romel Louis 12". On many a want list the world over. I would guess 200 or so were pressed; this is only its (lucky!) seventh appearance on ebay and I am responsible for three of its previous postings (I live in the city where it was pressed and I'm always hunting for it). I have a friend to thank for this particular copy! : ) This is private press modern soul at its oddly-sublime best: an almost otherworldly production, with a wild warbling bass line chugging along at a slow hypnotic tempo on a road to boogie-nowhere. This is the kind of track you do drugs while listening to at three a.m.,  slow dancing alone in your room - more on the nod than on the beat - enraptured by the sweet-sad memories stirred up by the faint smell still rubbed into your clothing of the hair from that dream girl you just made out with but can only have in a 'love affair'... yeah, no more real than the pipe dream of whatever it is you've wound up smoking. A track you need in your life... it will help you make some sense out of the void!  Have a listen (apologies for linking to such a low fi clip)! Do not miss this!
