Description
This item is a rare colored vinyl private pressing album released on Wizardo Records in 1976 by The B. Toff Band entitled ’21 Golden Greats’. The B. Toff Band consists of members Larry Feign and Jon ‘Wizardo‘ Tschirg. Jon was an avid bootleg record collector and started the Wizardo Records label. I’ve included a brief review of this album from the ‘Bootleg Zone’ website.
‘The Berkeley student Jon Tschirgi (known by the pseudonym of John Wizardo) used to be an avid bootleg collector until he decided to start his own bootleg label Wizardo Records in the early 70s. In 1976, he decided to press a few hundred records with some of his own recordings, made between 1971 and 1975 under the pseudonym B. Toff Band, putting a photo of his own face on the cover, even though allegedly the FBI had it in for him! Included with each copy of the LP was an insert with extensive info as well as an insert signed by him and his partner Larry Feign.’ This record is pressed on blue splatter wax and appears to be in excellent condition. Record comes housed in a white generic cover that includes its original song title / album title wrap around insert and an autographed insert signed by both members (see photos). White generic cover itself is in strong very good plus condition with some light wear. See photos for song listings. A very hard to find Psych Folk LP and a great addition to your record collection!
