Description
Terrific second pressing (ca. early 1960s) of one of the most sought-after LPs in the Blue Note catalogue. Offered at $699.00 or best offer.
Beautiful glossy heavyweight vinyl with “RVG” and Plastylite “Ear”stamped into dead wax and “9M” etched into dead wax. Deep groove labels read “BlueNote Records Inc, New York USA.” Back cover reads “Blue Note Records Inc, 43West 61st St., New York 23.”
Vinyl: VG++. Vinyl is heavy with beautiful sheen and is visually impeccable without a single scratch or mark. Sounds VG++/EX. Tiniest bit of background noise in quieter passages, but no significant noise or skips or pops to detract from awesome original Van Gelder production. Deep groove labels are clean and clear. Great daily use copy. See photos for details.
Cover: VG+. Cover retains original glossy finish and bright original colors. Back cover is tight and clean except for some foxing on bottom and name of earlier owner written in pen on upper left-hand corner. Seams are tight all the way around but there is some wear to top edge and upper left-hand and lower left-hand edges. There is also a small 1” seam split on upper right-hand corner. Otherwise, cover is structurally sound and solidly intact all the way around. See photos for details.
LP will come in protective Mobile Fidelity archive-quality sleeve. Cover will come in thick vinyl protective sleeve.
