Description
T.S.O.L. ?– Dance With Me - Frontier Records ?– FLP 1004 - Vinyl, LP, Album - US - Jun 1981 - Goth Rock, Hardcore, Punk
This is the 1st pressing of Dance With Me (1981) on Frontier Records; only 1,000 were pressed. It is autographed by singer/founder Jack Grisham (listed by the first of his many pseudonyms, Alex Morgon). The original insert is NOT included. The cover was gummy-tacked to the previous owner's wall; there are four white spots on the back cover and a little shelf wear, which is normal for a record of this age. There is also a bit of dry rot on the left of the front cover. The vinyl has some visible scuffs, but nothing that interferes with a brilliant listening experience. It sounds _amazing._

Dance With Me was the first album by Long Beach punk band T.S.O.L. (True Sounds of Liberty). Released on Frontier Records in 1981, the album hasn’t been available since 2007 when it was re-issued by The Offspring’s Nitro Records. Other uber-fans include Guns N’ Roses (Steven Adler was wearing a T.S.O.L. t-shirt in the Sweet Child o’ Mine video).
Dance With Me saw the band move away from the hardcore punk roots of their debut EP released earlier in the year and the music became more melodic and goth-tinged as did the lyrics. The album was recorded by Thom Wilson (Dead Kennedys, Bad Religion, The Offspring) and the cover featured paintings by Mark Wassman and photos by Glen E. Friedman.
My story: As a teen, I worked the record booth at the local flea market where I learned the trade from “The Old Hip-Eye,” cleaning thousands of albums and becoming conversant with just about all the bands of note. I worked there for trade, and afterward, as manager of 3 different used record stores, I got paid either cash or x 2 in trade, and spent many a paycheck collecting vinyl, particularly rare punk rock. I was the primary record buyer at Alley Cat Records, Lawrence, KS (in 2 locations) and Archives Records (Des Moines, IA) and bought both used and new records (from labels including Mammoth, Lookout, etc.). I was also the manager of the final location of Exile Records in Lawrence, where I learned buying music, including vinyl, from customers and sellers in a college town where students often sold their (sometimes) rare records.
Most of my private collection consists of near-mint, autographed & carefully, barely-played vinyl records which have been stored safely since purchase and kept in a smoke and pet free environment.
The vinyl, Cassettes* & rare CDs* I sell are in the condition stated, and many never even hit the shelves of the stores in which I worked, as I got first crack at the stock before it was put into the “New Arrivals” bin. I handle vinyl with the care I've come to learn for buying/grading purposes professionally.
*I don't rate case condition as they break easily in transit.
Ships from a smoke free/pet free home in heavy duty mailer.
We prefer to use media mail for your record(s), as we ship in hard cardboard mailers made specifically for vinyl, both 12” and 7”. We will ship priority mail if you like—please be clear in your communications with us! We'll make sure to follow your instructions as closely as possible. If you choose media mail, please allow up to 11 business days for your package to arrive, and only then get in touch with us directly if there is a problem BEFORE contacting eBay or leaving less than positive feedback. All items are sold as-is and we don't offer returns on vinyl records. If you have questions or concerns, please contact us prior to bidding.
We take photos of the vinyl so you can see your records before you buy. Check them carefully, and it's a win-win! All items are sold as-is and we don't offer returns on vinyl records. If you have questions or concerns, please contact us prior to bidding.

Handling:
Regarding vinyl, if you would like the record removed from the jacket cover to avoid potential seam splits, please advise, otherwise item will be packed as is—but securely—and carefully. International buyers please note: Import duties, taxes and charges are not included in the item price or shipping charges. These charges are the buyer’s responsibility. Please check with your country’s customs office to determine what these additional costs will be prior to bidding/buying.
