Rare US Original in plain white sleeve with tiny b/w copy of the sleeve...

Only a handful came out with sleeve and are sold for more than $800 !!

This original pressing on Montross Records 1976 Release Made in USA,
Black Vinyl Cover and LP are NEW UNPLAYED.

One of the all-time monsters of ultra heavy hard rock, this album lives up to every bit of it's hype,
and more! Though "Population II", by Randy Holden is considered by many to be even heavier than this,
the main difference is that "Pop II" is almost nothing more than (some say self-indulgent) sludge, with
little emphasis on any real musical content; whereas "No Rest..." is filled with very interesting and
compelling material that is sure to get your blood racing if you're into this type of rock. The first two
cuts are great, but not overly impressive, and leave you thinking "OK, I can see what they were talking
about, though I might not think this is really 'all that'". But by the third cut, you're starting to come
around and think "yeah, maybe it is that good". And by track # 4: "Remember", all doubt has been erased.
What a tremendous cut this is! At various points on the album, it is possible to recognize all sorts of
similarities to other well known heavy rock icons, such as Hendrix, Robin Trower, Sabbath, and even
Randy Holden himself. But T & J don't just borrow these sounds, they build on them, taking them to a
higher echelon. This LP is one of the truly deserving legends of the genre, not just for a handful of cuts,
but basically the whole thing. There really isn't a clinker in sight. As a side note, the name Truth and Janey
was arrived at when the band Truth (who had previous releases to this album) sacked their guitarist and
hooked up with Bill Janey - hence Truth and Janey, a perfect fit!
