We mail all paid items ONE WEEK after auctions end. Please keep in mind our listings are time consuming in detail and we are often traveling to find these gems, which at times delays the delivery schedule by a day or two. We have no control over parcels once they are mailed from our local Post Office.Overseas mail to some countries (Italy, Russia, France, in particular) has become very slow. Opening a dispute for slow mail is unacceptable and will result in blocking the bidder. We work hard to provide excellent service as is represented by our 8000 plus positive feedback.   We use a VPI machine and thoroughly clean all records. Each order is carefully packaged by removing the LP from the jacket to avoid seam splits, use of 3 ml plastic cover sleeves over each LP and jacket, cardboard pad inserts, and placed in sturdy record mailers for safe delivery.   We take Customer Service seriously, and want you to be satisfied. Yet another highly scarce early PALLADIUM LABEL release by rockin' BOB SEGER

ORIGINAL 1973 FIRST PRESSING...one of Bob Segers early best & hardest to find Lp's

Standout cuts? All of 'em. If Seger has a perfect album, this could be it. Play it loud.

"Floors" is one of Seger's sex songs. Years ago, someone noted with righteous indignation that the recorded version changes the line "seen a lot of whores," (which is how Seger rendered it live, back in the Primo/Ann Arbor days) to "seen a lot of doors." It seemed needlessly prudish in 1974 to substitute the word doors for whores, back when the MC5 were shouting (and recording) "Kick Out the Jams, Motherfuckers!"

Another winner from Seger's artistic peak period, which would precede his commercial peak by a few years. Side 1 is unrelenting hard rock, and it's magnificent. "Need Ya" in particular is a euphoric rush, and one can only guess at who, or what, inspired the lyrics. Possible someone (or something) of a volatile nature. "Long Song Comin'" nicks some riffing from the Rolling Stones' "Honky Tonk Women", which I forgive because (a) the lyrics and vibe are right on, and (b) someone had to pick up the slack because the Stones themselves started going AWOL around this point. "Cross of Gold" is one of the most furious rockers he's ever done, like a more mature version of Mongrel material.

Side 2 is a little more introspective. "U.M.C." feels tentative here compared to 'Live' Bullet, but is still a great song. "Seen A Lot Of Floors" was, reputedly, originally called "Seen A Lot of Whores", and whether that's true or not, the intent is unmistakable: the narrator informs his visitor that he's not up for small talk tonight. "20 Years From Now" is a cool love song. "All Your Love" is based on a riff so simple as to be almost trivial, but the middle goes to an interesting place.

All in all, a continuation of the successes of his previous album, with several must-haves, some more good tunes, and relatively little to no filler. Did not chart at all ...incomprehensible.

CONDITION: The Cover: is clean and solid ALL OVER M- with NO shelf wear on front (remarkable, the cover is snow white) and the back Seger photo is VG++ overall, here's a survivor...rare pre-release promo = sticker on front ...no split seams, no bends and no writing...

The Vinyl: is all glossy clean rated: M- and plays dynamic excellent..enjoyable...collection ready ...clean white promo PALLADIUM labels ...
