Did you miss out last time an album like this was auctioned, now is your chance to have another go.

Whilst browsing through eBay recently I saw two auctions for this Tonton Macoute album and realised that in excellent condition it had become a collectors item. I bought this record in Tottenham Court Road, London along with several others at the end of 1971 or early 1972. Shortly after this I moved house and got married, the record was put into a box at that time and has remained there through several house moves since then. I am not sure if it ever got played, I certainly can't recall any of the tracks and I have only now taken it out of the box to photograph it for this auction - I have decided not to play it in order to maintain its pristine condition.

I have looked at some record sites that discuss grading and I would put this as mint or nearly mint. The album cover does not have any rings as it was stored vertically in the box and the black inner sleeve has the original polythene insert. The vinyl record is in superb condition and I have tried to show this in the close up photograph of the record centre. The photo showing the Neon label is not so clear because it is under the polythene sleeve. I believe this copy may well be in better condition than the couple I have seen auctioned recently, but this is not easy to confirm as I have only seen the photos and descriptions on eBay. I understand that the music is Progressive Rock which sounds very much like my taste in music at that time! It also seems to be described nowadays as Jazz/Rock.
