Description
Released by Tamla Motown in 1966, cat # TMG 574 this is “Little Darling (I Need You)†/ “Hey Diddle Diddle†by Marvin Gaye.
This is a red/white demo with the release date in the centre of each label. There is a slight ring-mark to each label and slight wear around the spindle hole on the A-side label. The A-side playing surface has some wear and a couple longer, more noticeable surface marks and looks very good. Playing - well I was shocked how well the A-side played! Excellent! The B-side has a small amount of crackle at the start, but soon disappears. The B-side grades as at least very good. The record comes in a presentable orange Tamla sleeve.
All of these Motown singles come from the same source – an original 60’s DJ who started in the ballrooms and progressed to radio and record production in the 1970’s. The vast majority of the collection is mint or unplayed, but he clearly loved his Motown as most of the 60’s and early 70’s singles are generally in very good condition, but with a few notable exceptions!
