Description
Up for auction is a one-of-a-kind item, a mega rare test pressing with proof sleeve of TIM HOLLIER's self-titled second LP (UK Fontana 6309 003) from 1970. This LP is his rarest by far, and in my opinion his best. Superb psychedelic sleeve design too! The music is great singer/songwriter folk with some progressive touches. Unlike his other albums, this one is almost completely without orchestral arrangements, and is about half-and-half acoustic first takes of songs, and songs with electric group backing.
The white label test press LP is in nice EX condition with only some faint hairlines from being removed from the inner sleeve. One label has "Tim Hollier" written twice in blue felt pen.
The proof sleeve is the same design as the released version, and is two sheets of cardboard taped together at the top and bottom and stapled three times at the spine. The condition is VG+ with only very light surface wear. Looks great!!

On 17-Apr-06 at 20:22:58 BST, seller added the following information: The printed matrix # in the run-out groove is 6309 003 1Y // 1 420 on side 1 and 6309 003 2Y // 1 420 on side 2. This is identical to the proper issued version on Fontana.
