Description
This is an auction for a rare LP by The World Of Oz, The World Of Oz.
This was released by Deram Records in 1969 and has catalogue number SML1034. This is stereo.
Condition: The sleeve has discolouring marks to the rear, a lamination bubble along the spine, buffing to the corners and a few small creases mostly seen along the edges. Spine fine, no tears, complete and graded at VG.
This comes with its original blue stereo inner sleeve which has a touch of discolouring but is otherwise fine.
Both labels have a couple of very light discolour marks. Under closer examination some spindle trails can be seen on each side. The centre hole shows a mere touch of wear.
The vinyl on both sides has numerous light and hairline scratches seen under a strong light. There are also numerous dirt marks. I gave this a quick clean with standard record cleaner fluid and most of the marks disapeared with some being more stubborn and giving audible feckling when the needle passes over them. Both sides played with feckling which completely disapears only to return when hitting next dirt patch. Other than that an occasional quiet tick or pop can be heard. The above mentioned scratches do not appear to be causing to much audible noise with as stated the odd quiet tick or pop heard only. The music itself plays well above the feckling and only at the quietest moments or in patches does the feckling actually interfere with the sound quality.
This plays with no major deterioration in sound quality and is graded at VG. Given a decent clean may see nearly all of the surface noise disapear and possibly be a little better than now graded.
