Description
Take a trip back to the psychedelic 60’s with this EXTREMELY RARE 1967 THE SERPENT POWER lp by David Meltzer. It is on the Vanguard label and is an original MONO record of San Francisco poetry and music combined.
Side One: 1 - Don't You Listen To Her, 2 - Gently, Gently, 3 - Open House, 4 - Flying Away, 5 - Nobody Blues, 6 - Up And Down
Side Two: 1 - Sky Baby, 2 - Forget, 3 - Dope Again, 4 - Endless Tunnel (with electrified banjo!)
This is not slop-psych from some stoners who decided to make a record but this is a well-composed and wonderfully-produced example of the psych genre who's original examples are difficult if not impossible to find, especially in this condition.
Cover is a strong VG++ with only the slightest wear and solid corners and seams. Record is excellent and clean with a couple of spindle marks on each label. Plain paper inner sleeve is excellent.
This record has been PLAY GRADED and except for minor surface noise it sounds BEYOND EXCELLENT, no skips at all.
