Description

TITLE/ARTIST: Hello and please continue to check out all current and future listings as everything from my personal collection will eventually come up for sale - records from the '50's, '60's, and much, much more - all "oldies" and all in great condition! Here is another of those early, rare and highly collectible LP`s by one of the greatest female groups of the '50's-'60's, The Ronettes - in fact, had they stayed together longer, they just might have been the very best girl group of all time. It is yet another album in outstanding overall condition - especially the vinyl, but the jacket is quite nice as well. This album - their 1st and only for the Colpix label - is an original 1st pressing on the gold colored, Colpix Label and is self-entitled "The Ronettes featuring Veronica", from 1965 (see pics above for all song titles and much more). The LP is highly collectible because it was the only record this girl group did from back then that was not produced by Phil Spector - this one was produced by Stu Phillips.  It has 11 great songs including, "He Did It", "What's So sweet About Sweet Sixteen", and "I Want A Boy", in addition to 8 others - all in MONO and all in outstanding shape.  LABEL INFO: The original, Colpix  Label (CP 486) is nearly perfect with no real issues at all - I don't even see that many spindle lines around the center circle, which indicates to me that it had only a moderate amount of play time. VINYL INFO: Likewise, the vinyl is also super shiny, clean, and nice with again, nothing in serious need of a mention, although there are a few super light surface/paper lines in a couple places on either side - but nothing serious, believe me. Otherwise, in my opinion the vinyl looks almost good as the day it was 1st purchased. JACKET INFO: Finally, this jacket is very good overall, but not perfect either. There is some light dirt and early ring wear on the front side's very top and bottom edges, a very light front side only 2"-3" crease line in the bottom right corner, and few small scuff marks in a couple of the corner areas. But again, in my opinion anyway, none of this is too serious! INTERESTING FACTS: Yes, this very rare, highly collectible LP is in nice overall shape, so please have at it and continue to check this site for more great conditioned "oldies" from my personal collection. As I have already mentioned, over time I am selling off my entire collection, and there are 100's more to get to yet -- of all genre's, sizes, and varieties. Many of these still to be listed records are rare and hard to find, and most all of them are in near mint shape. So again, please bookmark my site and check it out from time to time. GOOD LUCK BIDDING!! If anyone ever needs more info than what is listed, please email me. I will respond! POSTAGE/HANDLING CHARGES: In the United States, the buyer agrees to pay $5.00 (Media Mail with Delivery Confirmation) for the first LP purchased, and then just $1.00 per LP after that-----so, buy in quantity and save. These are U.S. rates only, and all foreign winners will have to await an email me for their exact costs, although I will send a detailed invoice as soon as the auction is over---but, there too, it is cheaper to send multiple pieces. The charges for overseas are listed in the shipping category below--$23.00 for the 1st LP and then just $4.00 per LP after that. PLEASE NOTE: I take a great deal of pride in packaging all my mailings both safely and securely. However, I cannot be responsible for records that are lost or damaged by either US or overseas Postal Services. But, for additional fees, I will gladly ship the packages Priority Mail and/or add insurance! Please email me with either, or both, requests if this is of interest to you. Also, please continue to check out "rogersrecords" on ebay for future collectible records of all types. There are many more to come! browser does not support JavaScript.
