Description

This is an auction for a LP by, The Rolling Stones, Through The Past Darkly, Big Hits Vol.2.

This was released by Decca records in 1969 and has catalogue number LK5019. This is the 1st pressing with a large print 'Decca' logo, unboxed, and this is mono.

Matrix: XARL 9067 P 2A     XARL 9068 P 3A

Condition: The octagonal gatefold sleeve has a small tear at the very top of the spine and buffing to the edges, which on the top edge is quite heavy. Also with some lamination creases seen under closer examination. This is complete, the spine is attatched fine, no discolouring and a fine centre. Graded at a strict VG, please check the pictures, probably a little better than graded.

This comes with its original red mono inner sleeve which is in fine condition, no edge splits or discolouring.

Both labels look clean and new, Under closer examination a few tiny spindle trails can be seen on each side. The centre hole shows little, to no, signs of wear. Please chcek the pictures, fine labels.

The vinyl retains its new shine and looks immaculate, Under a strong light a few feather scratches and a couple of dust/finger marks can be seen. I have given this a test play and found the audio to be superb for a mono recording. The mentioned feather scratches are completely non-audible. This plays with very little lessening in sound quality and certainly does not suffer from any reduction in sound quality due to wear. Playing with no distortion, fading or dragging and other than the very occasional quiet crackle, probably the mentioned dust marks, sounds new. Graded at Near Mint.
