RARE original MONO London Records very first press released in Chile in 1966 by Industrias Eléctricas Y Musicales Odeon S.A. (Odeon Records), licensed from London Records Inc., New York, U.S.A., catalog number LLC-38456, with matrix numbers ARL 6791 1N (“N” inverted) in Side A and ARL 6792 1N (“N” inverted) in Side B, with maroon ffrr London Records labels and “SERIE ESTELAR” (Stellar Serie) written in both labels and back cover!!! Yes, WHAT A FIND!!! Another rare Chilean press of a great album!!! A MUST TO HAVE!!!

THE ROLLING STONES’ “Out Of Our Heads” was originally released in 1965, but in Chile this album was released in 1966 and like usual those years we got an UNIQUE COVER!!!, made of two single sheets of paper attached, not glued, to a very thin cardboard and kept all together for an outer plastic bag. In this case, the outer plastic bag is missed, but some past owner did a plastic bag which has worked very well to protect the extremely fragile cover. Front cover keeps the same artwork that US “Out Of Our Heads”, with title written in English at the bottom left corner, but it also has a white box with a different title written in Spanish “THE ROLLING STONES’ SELECCIONES de sus más grandes EXITOS” (The Rolling Stones’ selections of their biggest hits). Back cover is totally different, with a review of the album and the songs in Spanish and tracklist in English, translated to Spanish, with credits for songwriters. It’s interesting to notice that in back cover the sides are identified like “Faz Uno” and “Faz Dos” (“Side One” and “Side Two”) but in labels it’s only “A” and “B”.

Like many other Chilean releases, this very first press hides a pair of UNIQUE ERRORS!!! Yes Sirs, in label the song, correctly written “The Under Assistant West Coast Promotion Man” in back cover, is misspelled “The Under ASSISTAND West…” and the song, correctly written “I’m All Right” in back cover, is misspelled “I’m ALRIGHT” in label!!!  Yes Sirs, ANOTHER GREAT FIND FROM CHILE with UNIQUE ERRORS!!!

The cover is in great VG- or VG condition the front cover, clean and complete, with no writings, ring marks or blemishes, but some creases, rips and moderate wear in all edges, and in VG or VG+ condition the back cover, clean, with light wear in the edges, some little rips at the top and mouth edges, a little number written at right top corner (“42”) and some age browning. The record, however, is in VG- or VG condition both sides, glossy and clean but with loads of scuffs, many hairlines and some light scratches, which proves this record saw many plays, but which mostly don’t affect sound. Labels on both sides are in VG- or VG condition, with evident wear and some writing, but still fully readable. The sound is in great VG+ or EX- condition the Side A, loud, clear and clean, with a soft background noise (surface noise is normal in records from Chile) and crackles, more evident in the beginning of the songs and in the silent parts between tracks, and in VG or VG+ condition the Side B, loud, clear and clean, with a soft background noise and constant light crackles, but nothing serious or intrusive to distract from the experience to listen and enjoy a classic record like this is. Overall, a nice record in this UNIQUE PRESS with UNIQUE ERRORS worldwide, with a not so good look and not the best sound, sure not for Minty minds, but still with a decent look and respectable sound quality after 46 years and many plays to enjoy from the beginning to the end, no repetitions, no sticks, no jumps, no distortions at all. Bid with confidence and don’t wait until the last second because you could lose the chance to get a real collectable record from Chile (South America) in superb condition like this copy is. You know South American records aren’t easy to get in good conditions, so HAPPY BIDDING and don’t let this record to go away… you could never see a so good copy of this record again… if you are lucky enough to see even another copy again…

We don’t use the generic “VG” most of South American sellers use to hide poor quality conditions or “NM” or “Mint” for records which aren’t even clean and sound less than a normal “VG” in professional standards. We use the Record Collector’s Grading System with a little modification: we don’t use MINT grade but for Sealed records and we can use a + or – to show a most professional accurate description.

MINT (M): I only use this grade for Sealed records.

NEAR MINT (NM): The record itself is in like new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality (only some very very very light hairlines caused for the record rubbing the sleeve). The cover and any extra items such as the lyric sheet, booklet or poster are in like perfect condition.

EXCELLENT (EX): The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in sound quality, maybe some surface marks which doesn’t affect play. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and/or creasing.

VERY GOOD (VG): The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable.

GOOD (G): The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits, discoloration, etc.

FAIR (F): The record is still just playable but has not been cared for properly and displays considerable surface noise; it may even jump.
The cover and contents will be torn, stained and/or defaced.

POOR (P): The record will not play properly due to scratches, bad surface noise, etc. The cover and contents will be badly damaged or partly missing.

BAD (B): The record is unplayable or might even be broken, and is only of use as a collection-filler.

We have an unique value worldwide: 

GBP15 for weight until 1kg (usually 1 or 2 records 12" depending of thickness of the vinyl)

GBP25 for weight 1-2kg (usually 3-5 records 12")

GBP7 for one 7” record

All records will be packed outside of the sleeve to avoid damages in the cover and all records will be sent with tracking number via Small Packet or Parcel Post services.

We don’t have anything to hide and we know the buyers expect to receive feedback after to pay for the items they win. Most of sellers say to give feedback when buyers leave feedback first. But we know that’s not fair for buyers. So, we leave feedback immediately after to receive the payment, because we understand that’s the part that buyers must receive feedback for. And we expect to receive a positive feedback from buyers who receive the records immediately after they have got the records.
