This is one of my original personal copies out of my collection. I'm keeping one Maroon label Mono but letting this one go. I found this at a record store/head shop in New Jersey  about 25 years ago . At the time, I collected Rolling Stones vinyl (among lots of other records) and just grabbed it up as it was in good condition. I already had several copies but I couldn't, and still can't, pass up a maroon mono Stones album at a good price. I've always felt that the early Stones, up to 'Buttons,' sounded better in Mono. Starting with 'Satanic' they sound better in stereo IMHO.

Everybody I’ve ever played this LP for has loved the warm loud clean mono sound. 'Paint it Black' 'Under my Thumb' and the long strange 'Goin Home'  sound great. Of course the single 'Paint it Black' was added on to US copies of this album taking away several great tracks that were on the UK version. 'Goin Home' was a real rule breaker for rock LPs at the time. One of the first long, extended tracks on an album, foreshadowing things to come a few years later. Sexy huffing and puffing by Brian both on and off the harmonica. Over 10 minutes of basically sex on wax. Pushing the boundaries a bit for early 1966.

I’ve only seen a handful of these maroon monos  in my many years of collecting.  Red label monos  are much more common.  A classic album and hard to find. It belongs in everyone’s collection. This one has the proper original black and white London inner sleeve. A nice copy of this monster rarity. It would be a great addition to any classic rock, Rolling Stones or general record collection.

Condition: I’d call this EX overall. One of the best copies I've seen in years. As mentioned, my personal copy. No obvious scratches or defects. Vinyl is clean and shiny with no obvious scuffs or dings. Cover is in good shape with very little ring wear which is rare for this black jacket.

Looks, plays and sounds great. It’s been properly stored in my personal collection for years. I’m sure you’ll be more than happy with this rare record. Overall, a great copy and one of the better condition ones I've seen lately.

All LP's come with generic white paper inner sleeves and simple poly-bags, unless otherwise noted or pictured. I do try to match up proper, appropriate generic company sleeves with my 45’s and LP's and I’ll gladly include them if I have them. As mentioned, this one does have the original London inner sleeve.

All items are packaged with sturdy cardboard mailers and filler pads. I take pride in my packaging and shipping and pack my records as if I were sending them to myself. I refuse to use cheap flimsy packaging material when sending my records. I treat them as if they were my own and mail them the same way.

All records have been cleaned and played by me. I visually inspect all records under bright light, personally clean them and then play them on a modern high-end turntable to get a true picture of condition. I'm a 0ne-man operation, this is a hobby, not my job. I do this for fun. I do this because I love music, love collecting vinyl and want others to share in that same experience. I take my time listening, researching, grading, listing and packaging. I will NOT sell any record that I personally would not want in my collection.

I’ve been told by other vinyl collecting friends that I under-grade the condition of my records. I see no harm in that. If that VG+ record comes and it’s nicer that you thought, great! We’ve all been burned by that EX- record purchase only to get it and it looks like it was cleaned with sandpaper and played with a rusty nail. My goal is to avoid that ever happening to me or you ever again. My grading is fair and honest and I will ALWAYS refund you for anything you’re not happy with. I have had nearly 3,000 happy and satisfied EBay customers over the years and I have been buying/selling on ebay for over 15 years, so please bid with confidence!
