NPL 38013 original UK 1965 Piccadilly record labels.

A UK album in original condition, featuring:

1. The Rockin Berries original UK 1965 debut album,

2. the sleeve is made from the period, thick heavy card,

3. comes with its original period PYE, ‘The best entertainment on record’, advertising inner sleeve’.

CONDITION:

THE MAIN SLEEVE: is in near excellent condition, the sleeve has an excellent glossy front laminate. The spine is in very good++ condition, it has some ageing but all of the text on the spine is clear to read. The two opening edges are excellent and have remained clean and sharp. The rear of the sleeve is excellent and has remained super clean. The rear of the sleeve features the original tri ‘flipbacks’ design, ie fold over edges. There are NO tears, splits, pen writing, stickers or sticker residue on the sleeve. On the front bottom corner there is an area of laminate and colour loss.

THE INNER SLEEVE: is in excellent+ condition and is the original period PYE, ‘The best entertainment on record’ advertising inner sleeve. The two opening edges have remained very clean. A well preserved and very clean inner sleeve. Theres NO pen writing, tears, splits, stickers or sticker residue on the inner sleeve.

THE RECORD: side one is in near MINT condition, in fact it is difficult to see any marks. Note – the condition of the record has been judged under normal daylight conditions. Side two is in excellent++ condition. The record is made from the period 1960s, thick, heavy vinyl. The record has remained very dark and glossy.

The matrix are: PLP 101 3 A1 H and PLP 101 3 B1 H,

The mother/stampers are: ‘C 1’ and ‘B 1’, ‘hand etched’, also ‘hand etched’ onto each side of the ‘run off’ grooves are the letters ‘KT’.

THE AUDIO: side one plays excellent+, it plays with excellent quiet grooves. Side two, overall plays excellent, I did hear some light ‘crackle’ and some ‘pops’ on track one, otherwise side two plays with excellent quiet grooves. The record lays flat on the turntable and plays with a full, loud period mono sound.

THE RECORD LABELS: each of the record labels are in near MINT condition. The labels are free from any pen writing, stickers or sticker residue.

TO GRADE THE CONDITION OF THE RECORD I AM USING THE OFFICIAL GRADING SYSTEM FROM THE ‘RECORD COLLECTOR’ MAGAZINE.

THE RECORD / SLEEVES ARE THEN PUT INTO A NEW PLASTIC SLEEVE FOR FURTHER PROTECTION.
