Hi! Thanks for checking out my auction!
I am auctioning a collection of residents fan club memorabilia. (all printed material, no music of any format) This includes copy #303 of the limited to 500 copy first 1979 printing of "The Official W.E.I.R.D. Book of The Residents". This 16-page book features amazing cover artwork by Gary Panter, as well as a detailed band history with lots of photos, and a band discography up to the date of printing. (see photos!) There is also an official "W.E.I.R.D. Membership Card" (also #303) (see photo) and a holiday-themed "Merry Xmas 1980 from W.E.I.R.D." card with an amazing Residents-in-the-manger illustration by Gary Panter. (see photo). I've also included a promo photo from 1978 entitled "The Residents Stock Up For A Wild Weekend!" (see photo) with the boys shopping for goodies at the supermarket.
The poster is probably the coolest part of the whole package. Measuring 28x22, It shows the Residents in the Top-hats and Eyeballs getup in front of the Golden Gate Bridge. (see photos!) There is a small pinhole in each of the 4 corners. There is also some two-sided tape adhesive that has seeped through the poster to the front side. It is not too bad and doesn't detract for the overall appeal of the poster. I have included photos of the top two front corners of the poster, as well as a photo of the back so you can see the extent of the damage. The poster has also been stored folded, and has the expected creases. (see photos)
I'm also tossing in a newsprint Ralph Records catalog from 1989, and a booklet-style Ralph catalog from 1980.
All of the items (except the poster which is described above) are in excellent condition with only minor edge wear. The 1989 newsprint catalog has some yellowing around the edges, but is otherwise in excellent condition.
All items will be extremely well packed in sturdy cardboard sleeves inside a padded box.
