This album really has some great sounds. The influences here are the Byrds, the Lovin' Spoonful, and Simon and Garfunkel, but the overall feel is something different. The first half of the album is recorded in very high quality sound, with excellent studio production. Later on, the rarities are often from acetates, so the sound is a bit thinner, but still very listenable to. The partnership of Bob Ponton and Martin Curtis also produced a lovely acoustic album, Thoughts and Words, which is very Simon and Garfunkel like, with a more English feel. They desrved to do better than they did, but it would seem that poor luck and promotion did for their chances
