Description

One of the RAREST garage LPs. Released in 1966 (original pressing) on the Ashwood House label (AH-1105).

This group started in Unionville, CT and worked extensively in the Lake George/Albany NY region before moving to Boston. They became known as one of the hottest groups to come out of the city. This album was recorded in NYC, and included one original, "Maybe It's Both Of Us" written by the producer Clay Pitts. This album is now a significant collectors' item and has not been reissued. For a taster of how they sound you can find "Didi-Wa-Didi" on Pebbles, Vol. 13 (LP), "Mister You're A Better Man Than I" on Oil Stains (LP), and "I Can't Explain" on Psychotic Reactions (LP).

Jacket is VG+ with only some rub wear (see scan) -- sides and corners are very sturdy, no splits, no writing, no tape or tape residue -- nice. Vinyl is VG+, clean with all of its gloss & a few very light surface scuffs. The last 3 tracks (on side 2) have 3 scratches that can't be felt with your finger.  We played these tracks and scratches are barely audible.

Songs:
Side 1: HANG ON SLOOPY, I SHOULD HAVE KNOWN BETTER, MAYBE IT'S BOTH OF US, DON'T MAKE ME OVER, MY PRAYER, CAN'T EXPLAIN

Side 2: DIDDY-WA-DIDDY, YOU'RE A BETTER MAN THAN I, UNCHAINED MELODY, BE MY BABY, OUR DAY WILL COME, GOODNIGHT MY LOVE

SHIPPING: $5 U.S. Priority Mail (we're happy to combine shipping on multiple wins wherever possible) / International bidders pay more.
PAYMENTS: Paypal/Money Orders/Checks

Visual Grading System:

STILL SEALED (SS) : Unopened, unplayed LP.

NEAR MINT (NM) : Close to perfect. Jacket almost perfect as well, with little or no sign of use.

VERY GOOD PLUS (VG+) : Very clean LP with nice luster and some signs that it was played and otherwise handled by a previous owner who took good care of it. Maybe a couple of sleeve marks or very light scratches on disc. Jacket with minor handling wear, faint creases or small dings on corners.

VERY GOOD (VG) : Disc with some visible scuffs or scratches, appears to have been played but will still have some luster. Should play with light surface noise between tracks and maybe a tick or pop here and there. Jacket with light ring wear, corner bumps or moderate seam splitting. Still very presentable and listenable with lots of life left.
