COLUMBIA RECORDS *Demo* DB 7382 ~ Original issue Blues beat band The MIKE COTTON SOUND were an RnB group that had been doing a trad jazz style previously, but found that was confining. Like Manfred Mann was also inclined towards, the beat pop sounds were refreshing, less stuffy, and fun! There were younger audiences ready to come to dance too. Round And Round is a mid tempo soul number, and Beau Dudley (a nod to comedy jazz pianist Dudley Moore) is a wonderful full belting raucous harp stormer! The vinyl is in VG condition overall, a lot of general scuff, but playing and sounding loud and clear
Lables are VG++ with centres intact and reasonable handling wear but not drastic on the white Demo 'A' lables
