Description

VERY RARE FACTORY SEALED ORIGINAL STEREO COPY OF THE LOLLIPOP SHOPPE'S 1968 RELEASE “JUST COLOUR” ON UNI RECORDS RELEASE #73019.

This is an original first pressing from 1968 that has never been opened and has never been played. It is vintage deadstock. It is guaranteed to produce very high quality playback, if opened.

This LP is incredibly scarce and hard to find regardless of condition.  This record has some truly excellent tunes sung and played by a young Fred Cole. Cole penned nearly every track on the record and his artistic voice is incredibly present and gives us some of his most sincere and lasting work.

Cole is notable to many because of his Dead Moon fame, of which certain traits are present on these recordings. This record is a pioneering artifact of the 60's counter culture and a template of some later punk movements, of which Fred Cole became a mainstay from his legendary raw and pure emotion. Fred and Toody Cole are DIY and Punk legends and this work totally encapsulates those traits and is only the beginning of Fred Cole's permanent and eternal mark on music.

The LP cover has two holes punched, light ringwear, and other mild signs of age. The shrinkwrap still forms a tight and complete seal protecting the disc from any outside exposure. The only part of this copy that has been exposed is where the holes have been punched. This copy is still beautiful and is a great example of such a legendary work.

I have provided detailed photographs of the LP. Any imperfection is merely superficial. The LP has been properly stored and taken care of for the duration of it's existence. The cover lays flat and is free from any harsh dents or bends indicating to me the disc inside should look and sound excellent, if opened.

This is a true rarity and original copies are not seen for sale too often. Rare find!

Monumental piece of 60's memorabilia in excellent condition.

RIP Fred Cole!

Record: Mint.

Never opened, never played.

Cover: VG+

Faint signs of age on the exposed parts of the cover. Holes punched in the cover, Minor corner dings. Considering the rarity, quality, and age of this record, this copy is very well preserved and still looks excellent. See photos above.
