Here is a 1966 ORIGINAL MONO PYE LABEL of the Band's VERY RARE 4 TRACK EP in great sound!! NEP 24258. SOLID MONO MIXES!! Disc in VERY GOOD CONDITION. Clean,glossy front cover with some SLIGHT EDGE creasing but nothing major.A couple of tiny pin holes in the back cover(was done through the inside of the back cover and NOT the front.THERE ARE NO RIPS/ NO WRITING/ NO SELLOTAPE REPAIRS/NO FADING ETC ETC Just a little ring wear and mild staining at the back-Please see Photo#2!!!! . Labels have slight staining and a little wear BUT NO WRITING/TEARS etc. THATS THE BASIC STUFF and NOW HERE'S AN IN DEPTH DESCRIPTION!! . Despite EPs being around in the UK since the 1950s, the pop artists material tended to be bought mainly on single or LPs. The arrival in the mid 1960s of cheap Labels such as Marble Arch which offered 10 tracks of the Kinks for only a slightly higher price than an EP with just four tracks on resulted in EPs SUCH AS THIS ONE being generally ignored as bad value. Especially as this was a round up of 4 "A"sides which most fans had already bought!!!!>>>>>>>>>..DEDICATED FOLLOWER OF FASHION/TILL THE END OF THE DAY/SEE MY FRIENDS/SET ME FREE . MOST EP's were played on OLDER equipment with even OLDER styli, Nasty HEAVY PICKUPS, or on cheapo box type players that ENCOURAGED the use of an AUTOCHANGER which would SCUFF any disc in seconds. ANY MONO COPY THAT SURVIVES IN VERY GOOD CONDITION OR BETTER IS A JOY TO BEHOLD AND A MUST FOR ANY SERIOUS BEAT/KINKS FAN. LOOKING AT THE DISC ITSELF IN STRONG LIGHT>>>>>>>>>>>>>. THERE ARE A NUMBER OF FINE SURFACE MARKS AND SCUFFS WHICH RESULTS IN MY HONEST VERY GOOD GRADING.I DO NOT SKIM/WORK IN DUBIOUS FLUIDS OR CHEAT LIKE SOME DEALERS. THIS IS HOW I GOT IT!!!!!!!!!! So now the ACTUAL PLAYING>>>>>>>THIS COPY HAS BEEN LISTENED TO BY MYSELF, A LONG TERM FAN and VERY FUSSY GRADER -LOOK AT MY FEEDBACK FOR PROOF!!!!! I test on a lightweight pickup of approx 2 grammes and listen with the treble full on and no filtering or mono switch used-I LISTEN IN THE QUIET COMPUTER/MUSIC ROOM/HOME OFFICE Located in a QUIET CUL-DE-SAC AWAY FROM TRAFFIC NOISE/PHONES/SCREAMING BABIES etc. I LISTEN AT A DECENT VOLUME. I LISTEN AS IF I WOULD BE BUYING FOR MYSELF. I AM NOT ONE OF THESE"RIP OFF"MERCHANTS WHO SAY EVERYTHING IS WONDERFUL AND SUPER RARE- I TELL IT LIKE IT IS . The very SLIGHTEST CRACKLE HERE AND THERE BETWEEN TRACKS IF YOU REALLY CRANK UP THE VOLUME-This was played a number of times but there are NO LOUD CLICKS OR BUMPS. I HEARD A COUPLE OF "POPS". NOTHING ELSE TO WORRY ABOUT BUT there is a SLIGHT "FILM" OF DISTORTION" at sound peaks which on MOST equipment or TONE SETTINGS would be MINIMAL. On sensitive equipment it may be audible throughout.I report this AS THE TRUTH. IT IS NOT A 100% PERFECT MINT DISC-IT IS NEAR EX SOUNDING OVERALL -FAR BETTER THAN VG!!!!!!! MOST DEALERS WOULD AGREE. I HAVE SOLD ONLY 2 OR 3 COPIES IN NEARLY 20 YEARS OF DEALING!!!!!
