What's on offer?: Almost without the need for introduction, here we have a SIMPLY FANTASTIC and hugely IN DEMAND gem from the Tamla Motown genre - particularly as this copy is an ORIGINAL FIRST UK DEMO PRESSING and in wonderful EXCELLENT PLUS CONDITION!!!!

This is a fabulous Motown double-sider and ONE OF THE VERY RAREST OF THE TAMLA MOTOWN '500 SERIES' RELEASES. It's hard enough to find a stock copy of this release, but when did you last see a DEMO offered for sale and, importantly, when are you likely to see one again???!!!
Grade (labels): The classic white labels with large red A are in FANTASTIC condition; there is NO unwanted handwriting, NO wear and NO spindle marks!!!
Grade (vinyl): In decades gone by, the general public and DJs had no idea how valuable some vinyl would turn out to be. Hence, discs such as this were often handled with relative neglect and played on a much heavier stylus than is the case nowadays. The result is that many discs are found to be badly marked and sometimes almost unplayable. This record, however, is strictly graded at EXCELLENT PLUS and was (prior to my checking it) actually believed to be UNPLAYED!!!!! This disc was jam-packed in a run of Tamla demos held at a Broadcasting library. The B-side of the vinyl is perfect MINT, whereas the A-side has a few non-sounding surface marks where the 'autochanger' rim of another disc has rubbed during storage.
Why buy?: This is such a BRILLIANT and RARE 45. It's hard to find a genuine copy in ANY condition, let alone this nice!!!! So, don't miss this as it might be your only chance to buy an ORIGINAL 1966 Tamla Motown UK 1st DEMO pressing of "Shake Me, Wake (When It's Over)" by The Four Tops in EXCELLENT PLUS condition!!!
