ARTIST:  THE ELECTRIC FLAG

TITLE:    LONG TIME COMIN'

LABEL:   COLUMBIA (CS9597) B/W ERROR COVER CS9579

COVER CONDITION: VG++    Very slight wear. small bend on left corner with slight paper fold on flip side. Overall in extremely nice condition.
VINYL CONDITION:   NM        LP appears to have never been played

RECORD NOTES:        OK Here goes... This is a very rare manufacturing LP jacket error. The front cover is clearly the correct Electric Flag jacket, as is the LP inside. The back cover is the back cover for Taj Mahal's debut LP. What happened is that when it was being pressed and packaged the covers were put together because the numbers were inverted at the factory. The "Flag" CBS number is 9597 and the Taj Mahal number is 9579. I have so far found no one in the industry or collector that has ever seen another such copy. I will do my best to answer any questions if you shoot me an email. I ran across this in my collection and have decided to let someone else enjoy the mystery. This would be a great LP to frame in a 2 sided frame.
