Description
TITLE/ARTIST: This somewhat hard to find, 1st and only, LP release is by the very short lived group, The Detergents, from back in 1965. The LP has 12 great songs by this group, on the original Roulette Label, and all are on great condition vinyl - and in MONO. This group made a comedic "parody" of the Shangri-Las hit, "Leader Of The Pack" and called it, "Leader Of The Laundromat" - then they faded into total obscurity. This whole package is in very good condition - but especially the vinyl - and includes their hit single, "Leader Of The Laundromat", plus 11 other goodies - some serious and others rather humorous (so please see the pics above for all song titles and more). LABEL INFO: This original, orange colored, Roulette Label (R-25308) is super clean and nice - I don't even see any spindle lines around the center circle, which indicates to me very little actual play - if any at all. VINYL INFO: The vinyl is also very shiny, clean and nice with nothing in serious need of a mention either - to me, it also appears to be about as nice as the day it was first purchased. JACKET INFO: Finally, this jacket is also clean, nice, and mostly close to perfect - but does have a visible couple flaws in need of a mention here. There are some small scuff marks in the corners and along parts of the top seam, plus a very small manufacturer's punch hole in the very top left corner (pictured above). But again, other than these somewhat minor issues it looks perfectly fine! INTERESTING FACTS: Yes, in my opinion, this rather collectible LP is in very nice condition, so please have at it. As always, I have begun the auction at a low opening bid and have not listed it with any reserve price - just free and open bidding - so good luck!. In addition, I will continue to list many other RnR/R&B LP's, EP's, and 45's by 1950-60's artists----and even some C&W LPs/45's, too. I am selling off my entire personal collection, and there are 1000's of more records to list yet -- of all varieties and genres. These are U.S. rates only, and all foreign winners will have to await an email me for their exact costs, although I will send a detailed invoice as soon as the auction is over---but, there too, it is cheaper to send multiple pieces. The charges for overseas are $23.00 for the 1st LP and then just $4.00 per LP after that. PLEASE NOTE: I will not be responsible for records that are lost or damaged by either US or overseas Postal Services.
