The Cure - Foxy Lady b/w Grinding Halt
MEGA RARE SOUTH AFRICAN 2 TRACK 7" ACETATE
Welcome to this very rare record auction.
The auction is for a double sided 7" acetate featuring 2 tracks from The Cure's 1979 studio LP 'Three Imaginary Boys'. The tracks on this acetate are 'Foxy Lady' and 'Grinding Halt'.
This acetate may have been cut back in 1979 for a proposed single release that never happened (fans and collector's will know that this track was never issued commercially as a single in South Africa or anywhere else in the world). As a result this is without doubt an extremely rare pressing!
The catalogue number on the label is TJS-29/3. The disc itself plays at 33RPM, is in Excellent condition and is housed in an original Satbel Record Company (PYT) Ltd Company sleeve with address details of the label etc. Satbel is the label that pressed these early Cure recordings for Polydor.

This disc was part of a collection purchased from a man who had worked in the music industry for Warners for many years.
This is without a doubt one of the rarest Cure acetates in existence. Not only as it dates back to 1979 but also because this two sided acetate with these tracks was never commercially issued in this format.....anywhere....ever!!! This is a totally ONE OFF pressing!!!
