THE BUMPS

Please Come Down

b/w

Baby Blue

Absolute original pressing, from a collection of other 1960's Northwest rarities.

Matrix numbers--

Side A:   etched "(triangle) 66619"   etched "Pic-5"  and  (encircled) "MR" stamping

Side B:  etched "(triangle) 66619-X"   etched "Pic-6"   and (encircled) "MR" stamping

A-side ("Please Come Down") is something of a garage rock magnum opus, with its ominous psychedelic fuzz guitar menace,  a true harbinger of heavier things to come.

B-side is a nice take on Them’s take on Bob Dylan’s classic, well worth the flip.

Record appears in well-preserved, VG+ condition, black and shiny, very little evidence of play to the grooves, shows typical light sleeve-type hairlines, and a few tiny deeper marks, none of which create distractions. There is a short (about a quarter-of-an-inch long), thin light mark  at the beginning of the B-side (Baby Blue) that looks inherent in the pressing...you can see the grooves intersect it, and it only faintly sounds, well in the background during the quiet first few seconds of the song, not significantly distracting. Both sides play well, particularly the all-important  A-side (Please Come Down), which plays close to Near Mint.
