A very rare 7" vinyl single from

THE BLANKS

Side 1 - THE NORTHERN RIPPER.

Side 2 - UNDERSTAND / BREAK DOWN.

The Blanks were a fairly short-lived punk band, hailing from Peterborough, UK. They released only one 7" single, "The Northern Ripper" b/w "Understand" & "Break Down" (Void, 1979). The intro to "The Northern Ripper" features a message taped from a news bulletin which claimed to be the voice of the then still at large serial killer dubbed as the Yorkshire Ripper. Members of The Blanks went on to form The Destructors.

Released in 1979 on the VOID RECORDS label (Cat No. VOID 1) this vinyl single and pic sleeve are in EXCELLENT / NEAR MINT Condition.
