Up this week are 9 Classic Beatles bootleg albums that were included in a private collection I recently purchased. I have not played them, but each one I'm offering has been cleaned on my VPI record cleaner (16.5 model), and visually inspected. I rate NOTHING "Mint" unless it is sealed. I hesitate to rate "Near Mint" on any bootleg as the quality of the vinyl (let alone the fidelity) was rarely, if ever, the quality one would expect from a legitimate recording. Audiophiles need not apply! 

Regardless of the range in quality of the material and manufacturing, they are an essential part of Rock 'N' Roll history; the first peek at unreleased gems that, in many cases, still haven't been released while in other cases appeared over 2 decades later on the "Anthology" albums (which arguably may have never been released had it not been for the long-running business of bootleg releases, and the demand for such recordings by hardcore fans)


Here we have "The Get Back Masters", allegedly from an acetate of the ill-fated studio album that later evolved into the "Let It Be" album. Track listing can be seen in photo 2, and follows the tracklisting of the first Glyn Johns mix of the album. The sleeve is almost perfect, but has some surface lifting, likely from a price sticker removed, on the top left of rear cover. Vinyl is clear, difficult to inspect, but under all sorts of light and angles appears to have no scratches. Because, as afore mentioned, it is likely sourced from an acetate, some surface noise may be evident as acetate recordings are a "test pressing" of sorts, generally for the artist to hear for approval, and can only be played a few times before they wear out.
