GRADING CONDITION:

MINT (M)

• The record is brand new and unplayed. The cover and any extra items such as the lyric sheet, booklet or poster are in perfect condition, and if in shrinkwrap the sleeve is still sealed (SS).

NEAR MINT (NM)

• The record looks brand new with no scuffing or surface marks or any deterioration in sound quality and only the smallest hint that its ever been played. The cover and any additional extras are clean and crisp with no wear whatsoever.

EXCELLENT (EX)

• The record shows some signs of having been played, there may be some very light surface marks, but there is negligible lessening in sound quality. The cover and packaging might have the slightest wear.
  

VERY GOOD+ (VG+)

• The record shows some signs of wear, it will have surface marks that don't affect the listening experience. Slight warps that do not affect the sound are acceptable. The label may have some light ring wear or discoloration. Sleeves will have some light wear, very lightly turned up corners, or a very slight split seam.

VERY GOOD (VG)

• The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality. Groove wear will start to be noticeable and some surface noise will be evident upon playing. There will be surface marks and maybe light scratches (deep enough to feel with a finger - any scratches will be noted in the listing). Labels may be marred by writing, or have tape or stickers (or their residue) attached. Sleeve wear is more noticeable than in a VG+ graded sleeve and may be marred by a cut-out hole, indentation or corner.
  

GOOD (G)

• The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits, discolouration, etc.

CDs: the CD must play perfectly to be listed, the grading ranges from Mint (brand new) to Excellent (very lightly marked but plays fine) in condition.
