MATRIX 

MEGA RARE " LOUD CUT" MATRIX VERSION

First UK pressing featuring alternate "Loud Cut" mix, as denoted by -1/-1 matrices.

When Rubber Soul was first released back at the end of 1965, George Martin was not happy with the mixing that had been done to the songs because some of the songs distorted on cheaper record players causing a degrade in sound quality.

 After approximately 2 weeks, the record was momentarily paused production-wise while he slightly altered the mixes to remove this problem. When he had finished, the production was restarted as a 2nd pressing.

 
The only way you can tell whether your copy is a 'loud-cut' pressing or not is to look at the matrix number. 'Loud-cut' pressings carry the matrix numbers XEX 579-1and XEX 580-1  while the regular copies carry a 4 instead of a 1.

Visibly same as "Second" pressing , but very first issue had a slightly different studio mix. It can be recognized by the matrix numbers ending with "-1". This is generally referred to as the "Loud" cut.
This was a mix that was discontinued after a very brief pressing run, when it was thought it was tonally unbalanced. It lacks body, has a muddled bass, with vocal stretched thin making it sound aggressive and edgy (hence, "loud"). 

THIS MAKES THIS A MUCH SORT AFTER VINYL FOR ANY BEATLES VINYL COLLECTOR, IN ANY CONDITION, BUT MADE EVEN RARER AND VIRTUALLY NEVER SEEN IN THIS SUPERB CONDITION !!!!!!!!

CONDITION

The Vinyl grades as MINT 

Only the tiniest of sleeve removal marks,  but only visible under a strong light, superb glossy rainbow finish obviously only been played ONCE/ TWICE possibly ?? LOOKS UNPLAYED STUNNING !!!!!

Sleeve grades as NEAR MINT 

STUNNING CONDITION,VERY VERY CLEAN and glossy laminated front, spine MINT and clearly legible, NO WEAR rub on flip backs AT ALL,  SUPERB example overall !!! THE BEST SLEEVE I HAVE EVER SEEN FOR THIS RARE VINYL

Labels are Near MINT

ONLY one or two spindle lines visible again only under a strong light !!!!! SUPERB
